About Jen

Jennifer Gyllenskog

I first started writing ads when I was eight years old. Okay, that sounds kinda weird, let me give you some back-story. Because my Dad owned a security company, there were always plenty of video cameras around. Me and my best bud Megan would produce and perform magic shows, dance routines and news broadcasts complete with weather reports and our own ads. When we weren't creating shows we were selling lemonade on street corners, inventing video games or interviewing complete strangers at the mall (our version of opinion polls).

Fast forward about 15 years and I've got my college degree and a good job in Marketing. Drafting marketing packages, laying out ads, buying ad space and creating a new investor database. But then something happened, this new digital medium came along. I read all the industry magazines, poured over sites and taught myself HTML. I started doing freelance Web development, built a server and became infatuated with all things Web. Those around me called it a fad, but I was hooked. So in 1998, I left my comfy marketing job, crossed over to the new and uncharted world of the Web and never looked back.

I've worked at large, small and medium-sized agencies, as well as client-side, but always served as the user advocate. I am currently a partner at Attract Interact but still do Web strategy consulting, site assessments and even offer workshops. Check out my resume and work samples.
